Geoff Strong

In 1991, HMS Pinafore put to sea with, you guessed it, Geoff Strong on board! As Geoff puts it: “Syd and Doreen Jayne talked me in to it, because I was always fooling about at work and Doreen, who worked in our graphics department, felt that, if I was always singing and making a fool of myself at work, why not do it on the stage?!

“I have never looked back since, never missed a performance, and don’t intend to. It’s a brilliant hobby, which I intend to continue for as long as possible. Never done a solo part until this year. Ah, panic! Hope I will be OK . . .”

“I spend a bit of what little spare time I have working with the Fife Society for the Blind, so the piccys are a bit like G and S, roughly. Last time we did Gondoliers, the hair dye took four and half months to wash out – NOT this time!!!”
