Gillian Robertson
Gillian Robertson is delighted to be setting sail with the cast of HMS Pinafore this year. Josephine has style and heart with two fabulous operatic arias and is one of the leading G&S soprano roles that are great to sing!
Gillian has sung many principal roles with various societies and is very much in demand as a soloist across central Scotland. Favourite roles include Antonia in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, and the title role in Princess Ida which she sang with Edinburgh Gilbert and Sullivan Society. She was also recently given the opportunity to fulfil an ambition by singing Mozart’s “Exultate, Jubilate” for the wonderful St Andrew Camerata Choir. Future engagements include Strauss’s Four Last Songs, and a reprise of two roles that Gillian created for two new operettas: Voice of the Tumbling Lassie in Tumbling Lassie and Julia in Dandie Dinmont. In her spare time, Gillian is a singing teacher and Business Analyst!
