Photo call tonight!

Sorry it’s such late notice, but Val was only contacted in the middle of the night to say that Jim Payne from the Dunfermline Press is coming along tonight at six thirty to take a group photo of the cast in costume.

If at all possible, could you please be at the theatre in time to don your costume and be on stage for this. Your first opportunity to bask in glorious publicity!

31 January rehearsal

Hopefully, if you are a member of the company for Yeoman you are planning to come to the Production rehearsal at Whitefield this Sunday coming, 31 January!

Peter asks that the Yeomen and Dame Carruthers are on parade promptly at 2:00pm. Other members of the cast can have a more leisurely lunch, but are required for 2:30pm. The rehearsal is planned to finish at 5.00pm.

Important rehearsal change

Peter has been reviewing the rehearsal schedule and identifying the current priorities. In consequence, the rehearsal on Sunday 24 January will be for Principals only (2.00pm–5.00pm in Whitefield). Please note that the chorus will not be required.

The remainder of the schedule stands as previously distributed (at this link).

Latest schedules

In case Mike didn’t get to you earlier in the week with a paper copy, you can download the Production Week Schedule at this link. Don’t forget that, if you have any problems getting to the theatre on time, the number to phone is 07525 920728!

The costume fittings and band call are at Rosyth Methodist Church (directions at this link) – use the back door from the car park and head left out of the entrance room into a corridor: the band rehearse in the hall on the left (Room 2); for costumes, head along the corridor towards the front door!

Between now and the show we still have a number of rehearsals, and not just on Wednesdays … If you have lost contact with your copy of the schedule, you can download the relevant page at this link.

Quiz Night postponed

Please note that, for reasons beyond the Committee’s control, the Quiz Night will not take place as planned on 16 January. It is hoped that this fund-raising event will be rescheduled later in the year.

Photo-call and costume fittings

Everyone gets their photo in our programmes, and we’ll be re-using the ones from last year’s prize-winning Gondoliers programme. If we don’t have a suitable photo of you, you should already have had an email about the photo-call at 7.00pm next Wednesday (13 January). If you really hate the way you appeared last year, or have greatly changed in appearance since(!), feel free to email Mike and turn up on the night suitable coiffed!

The schedules for costume fittings will soon be available for you to sign up: Ladies on Thursday 18 February; Gentlemen on Friday 19 February; both at Rosyth Methodist Church (directions at this link) – use the back door from the car park.

Next appearance

We hope to announce a summer concert shortly, but your next chance to see the Society on stage at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline will be on 20–22 February 2025.
