DGASS and COVID-19
As our Chair explains in her post, we haven’t been idle during our enforced stand-down, with regular Zoom meetings, and more fun things in the pipeline. If you want to be kept in touch with the Society, drop an email to our Administration Manager, Ellen Patrick, or just keep an eye on this page.
Welcome to DGASS
The Dunfermline Gilbert and Sullivan Society is an amateur group aiming to foster and maintain a knowledge and appreciation of the works of W S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan by the regular, public performance of their works (read more of our history here).
The Society is a registered charity: Scottish Charity Number SC030518.
Our main annual show is performed in the Carnegie Hall each February and is usually one of the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas. We also produce a Summer Concert most years.
Members page
Information, comment and pictures of interest to members are to be found on the Members page.
New members
We are always pleased to welcome potential new members to the weekly chorus rehearsals, but you need to join near the start of each show’s preparation. The next opportunity will be whenever we are able to start music rehearsals for The Pirates of Penzance, which is likely to be in August 2021
Much more information on what is involved on our New Members page.
And there is always the opportunity to become one of our Society “Friends” – they get a really good deal, as you will see from this form, which doubles as an application form.
