Andrew Campbell

Andrew Campbell joined DGASS for Princess Ida in May 2022, and so much enjoyed playing the part of Guron, one of the three ‘heavies’, the sons of King Gama, that he was eager to join the Pirates team. His role as a second apprentice pirate has been specially created for this production by our director – watch out for some extra fun!

This is his first full G&S production at Carnegie Hall but he was singing right through his school days. His previous performances include Carmina Burana, Verdi’s Requiem, Messiah and Dido and Aeneas in the choirs at Stewart’s Melville College and most recently in Messiah at the Alhambra Theatre as part of their centenary celebrations, under the expert baton of Paul Gudgin.
