Gillian Robertson
Gillian Robertson has sung many principal roles with various societies and before the pandemic was very much in demand as a soloist across central Scotland. Favourite roles include Antonia in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman and the title role in Princess Ida which she first sang with EDGAS. She was also thrilled to sing Mozart’s Exultate, jubilate for the St Andrew Camerata Choir.
Now that performing restrictions have been lifted Gillian will be reprising her roles of The Tumbling Lassie, singing only, leaving out the gymnastics, and Julia in Dandie Dinmont. Gillian performed in the world première of both operas, which were composed by Tom Cunningham to libretti by Alexander McCall Smith. Gillian will also be featuring in a supporting role in Threepenny Theatrical’s play The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim.
