Celebrations 150! – 1 Autumn

Ellen invites us all to Kirkcaldy Orchestral Society’s first concert of their 150th anniversary season at 7.30pm on Tuesday 1 October in the Old Kirk, Kirkcaldy.

Quite a few of the orchestra came to see Iolanthe in February, and eight of ourThe Jury’s Out band will be playing. Watch out for our Secretary, Ellen, and Karen’s daughter, Sarah, who will be playing at the back of the second fiddles!

As always, a very varied programme, this time featuring A Wee Fife Festival Overture Gourlay / Air ‘N’ The Strings Plus Fraser and Andante Cantabile Tchaikowsky – with Katrina Marzella-Wheeler, Baritone / Scottish Sketches Hamilton /  Joyeuse Marche Chabrier / Jeux d’enfants Bizet / from Music for the Royal Fireworks Handel / Entry of the Gladiators Fucik / Karelia Suite (first movement) Sibelius.
