Fancy a tootle?

If you fancy playing in an orchestra, Fife’s Community Orchestra, Kirkcaldy Orchestral Society, is holding an open rehearsal on Tuesday 6 June, and inviting any players in the area to join in. Could be some who haven’t played for a long time, could be young players setting out on the path of musical life, in fact, anyone at all with an orchestral instrument.

Bring your instrument and a stand, music will be provided. There will be pieces to challenge and pieces to enjoy, plus some easy items for anyone unsure of their abilities. There will be something new and something old: there may even be a surprise!

The place: Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy, KY2 5LY; the time: 6.45 pm (until 9.00pm); the cost: £3.00. Enquiries to kirkcaldyorchestralsociety@gmail.com.

Next appearance

Your next chance to see the Society on stage at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline will be on 13–15 February 2025 for the première run of The Jury’s Out.
