Sorcerer prize-winners

The prize winners for Dunfermline Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s The Sorcerer Art Competition from Primary 4 at Commercial Primary School.

• Room 8 winners: James Geddes (1st), Maisie Kay (2nd), Sophie Jenkinson (3rd)
• Room 9 winners: James Robertson (1st), Iris Macrae (2nd), Eleanor Bitcon (3rd =), Camerin Hodge (3rd =)

The winners each received two complimentary tickets and a programme voucher for the Saturday matinée performance of The Sorcerer plus a “Harry Potter” writing set.

The winners are shown here with Anne Dolbear, the  Society’s Treasurer.

The winning pictures will be displayed in the foyer of Carnegie Hall during next week’s run of The Sorcerer (21–23 February). Hopefully, there will be room to display a few more of the other amazing Primary 4 pictures too.

Before Christmas, the Commercial Primary School Primary 4 teachers (Karren Aitken and Adele Lang) and the Saline Primary School Primary 3/4 teacher (Gillian Hanlin), kindly hosted a Dunfermline Gilbert and Sullivan hands-on “Colour and Fizz” chemistry workshop, introducing The Sorcerer.
